GCS Academy originated from a deep passion for soccer. Founder Modeste Rouamba has immersed himself in the world of soccer since the age of 3. Growing up, soccer served as the universal language that brought together all the children in his community.
Modeste's love for the game motivated him to study American coaching methods when he relocated to the United States. Beginning from the grassroots, he diligently earned his coaching licenses and now proudly holds a USSF National B License.
Over the last thirteen years in the Fox Valley, Modeste has coached with Appleton Soccer, served as Director of Coaching at Electric City Kaukauna, and currently serves as Executive Director at Riversurge FC. His influence extends beyond local clubs — reaching KASA, HOV, Freedom, Pulaski, and even organizing soccer camps in Scarsdale, New York.
For nine years, Modeste has served as a staff coach with the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association (WYSA), serving as head coach for the U13 boys age group for the last six years.
